About Amity Law & Society Review
Words are the lawyer’s tools, and writing is the
lawyer’s craft
The importance of legal research and writing is well recognised in the global legal fraternity since time immemorial. It is an indispensable aspect in the life of a law student. Essay writing, moot court competitions, drafting of case notes, externships are the various junctures where a law student’s writing capacity comes under the scanner. Sound writing skills are acknowledged as the instant recipe of success.
The Amity Law and Society Review (ALSR) is an endeavor to provide an opportunity to the students of Amity Law School to develop legal research, writing, editorial as well as analytical skills. ALSR aims to serve the purpose of a scholarly publication- noting and analyzing developments in law and suggesting future paths.
ALSR has a scholarly mission. It affords the student editors valuable educational experiences. It would not only provide student editors training in performance of editorial and administrative tasks associated with this publication but would also assist them in preparing an original work of scholarship.
ALSR aims to provide articles, commentaries and reviews across a wide range of theoretical and practical legal and social policy matters - including public law, private law, civil and criminal justice, international law, ethics and legal theory. It would also include comments on recent Supreme Court, High Court and International Cases.
